Fall Fashion Shows

November 25 2013 – Zoe Schuler

Wow! I can't believe we've been open for almost 3 months. Time sure does fly! Our first 2+ months have been amazing. We love being in Middleton. Everyone has been so welcoming and kind. It has been a blast getting to know our new customers. We look forward to building relationships with each one of you.
Over the past few months we've managed to find time to participate in 4 fashion shows! Read on for a brief recap of each show.
Girls Night OGirls Night Out Collageut at the Capital Brewery was our first fashion show. We loved this casual event. It featured local Middleton boutiques including Middleton Dress Company and Chauette. Great drink specials and our ladies really worked it. It was fun to be outside and the weather was great. We can't wait for next year.  We featured apparel from Igigi, MaiTai, Karen Kane, Queen Grace, Kiyonna, Chalet, Democracy and Full Figured Fashionista.

Collage from DAISNext up was Dress for DAIS at the Overture Center. What a great event. It felt good to support Domestic Abuse Intervention Services. Our models were a little nervous but they were fierce on the runway and we appreciated the enthusiastic response.
Brands worn on the runway
Top Row: Thread & Butter, Queen Grace, Nic & Zoe, NYDJ, Full Figured Fashionista.
Bottom Row: Igigi, Comfy USA, Cripple Creek, Spanner, Chalet and Adrianna Papell.

Just this past week we squeezed in 3 more fashion shows. Wednesday 11/20/13 we had 10 lovely models rock the runway in Rêve Runway at the Great Hall in the Memorial Union.

This event was all glam. From the gold sequin runway to the outfits from each of the stores. Everyone looked amazing. We proudly featured brands: Lundstrom, Comfy USA, London Times, Full Figured Fashionista, Not Your Daughters Jeans, Queen Grace, Adrianna Papell, Karen Kane, SWAK Designs and more!

We finished up our Fashion Show lineup with two shows at Brava Magazine's Women's Expo at the Alliant Energy Center this past Saturday & Sunday.
Womens ExpoThe models in this show were all either Z.Bella Staff or related to one of us. Beth, Patti and I (Zoe) modeled as well as Patti's daughter Kendra and Zoe's future sister-in-law, Lindsey. Both Kendra (bottom right) and Lindsey (top right) have new babies and don't always have a ton of time for themselves, so it was fun to get them dressed up, made over and looking & feeling amazing!

Professional photographs are coming, but in the picture above we featured brands: Democracy (top right), Kiyonna (top left), Comfy USA (bottom left) and Queen Grace (bottom right).
Overall, Z.Bella was so fortunate to be able to be part of each fashion show. For me the best part of these shows is working with our models. Most of the girls that modeled for Z.Bella had never been asked to model before. I feel like a proud mom watching each show. Being backstage with the models before they go on the runway & seeing how nervous everyone is and then seeing the transformation in these ladies after they get off the runway is priceless. It's amazing to see these beautiful ladies experience a room full of people admiring them. It's a rush. A confidence boost. Most importantly, it's a reminder to these ladies that they are beautiful and fabulous -- whatever size they are!
I have enjoyed connecting with people after the show who appreciated seeing "real women" on the runway. We love showing the audience that beauty, fashion and fabulous style can be attained by anyone, any size.
