5:30 PM: FREE BODY POSITIVE TALK with Zoe & Valerie.
With thousands of images of Instagram “perfection” shot at us every day, it can be easy to compare ourselves with others and internalize the constant judgment and scrutiny of our bodies. Not to mention all the “new year, new you” rhetoric that’s soaked in shame and self-blame. Let’s do it differently: Rather than resolving to conform to the standards set by dominate culture, why not revolt against them and do something revolutionary: make peace with your body. This evening will explore body acceptance through the lens of Z. Boutique fashion and yoga.

Galentine's Week is about putting yourself and your gal pals first. Spend an hour in a gentle yoga class lead by Valerie. No experience required. Bring a mat if you have one.

Zoe's Grandmother, Elizabeth (Bette for short) has been a life long fashionista and creative. Several years ago she started collecting broken and vintage costume jewelry. She cleaned it, fixed it or re-designed it and then hosted a series of sales to raise money for a local non-profit in Tucson, AZ called Teens on Their Own. After doing this for a few years, at the young age of 96, she decided she wanted "out of the jewelry business." Luckily for her, she knew just who she wanted to take over for her. She really enjoys working on the jewelry but putting on the sales is just too much work. We compromised and now Grandma Bette still collects and fixes the the jewelry and we will sell it for her and donate the proceeds to a non-profit in Madison.
Wednesday, February 12th will be our second "Bette's Bling" Jewelry Sale. Stop by to shop a fun collection of costume & vintage jewelry. Everything will be under $5. Each person who purchases jewelry will get to vote which non-profit we donate the proceeds to.
We'll have delicious treats & refreshments for you to enjoy while you shop.
