Fashion that Fits: Exclusive Plus-Size Style in Sizes 14-24

My Thoughts on Article: Plus-Size Model Laura Wells Talks Pressures Placed on Skinny Models

April 13 2015 – Zoe Schuler

I recently stumbled across an article on Life & Style Weekly, called:

"No Food Being Eaten, Prescription Dietary Pills": Plus-Size Model Laura Wells Talks Pressures Placed on Skinny Models

In the article, Laura Wells talks about the extremes that skinny models go to in attempt to book modeling gigs. I don't think this is a surprise to many people, but what I liked reading is that Laura Wells eats healthy, works out and occasionally has a treat. And if I passed Laura on the street, there is no way I would call her "plus-size". She may be a plus-size model in the fashion industry, but she's not a plus-size person. She looks like a fit, healthy, beautiful woman. I hope we will start to see more healthy women like Laura Wells in the media. She is the type of woman little girls could look up to. And instead of labeling models like Laura plus-size... it would be nice if we just call them normal, beautiful women.

What do you think?
