5 Plus Size Spring Dresses We Love
May 06 2014 – Zoe Schuler
Spring is in full swing and there are so many fabulous PLUS SIZE dresses out there. Keep reading for 5 of our favorites currently in-stock at Z.Bella Boutique.
1. Palm Print Dress by London times.
Why we love it: Fabulous color and print.
Super soft jersey material.
The draping across the stomach hides the area most of us want to cover!
Plus, this dress is a great price ($84) and is machine washable.
How to wear it: Add heels and dressy jewelry for a summer wedding, or wear it with flat sandals to flip flops to the beach, pool, or running around town.
Add a jean jacket in the evening for an effortless and casual look.
2. Brigitte Camera Dress by Cherry Velvet
Why we love it: One word --POCKETS! Who doesn't love a dress with pockets?!? This retro inspired (sold without the crinoline underneath it) is comfortable, breathable and features a fun all-over black & white camera print. It's also made in Canada. The silhouette is super flattering and the straps are bra-friendly.
How to wear it: Perfect for a girls night out. Add a fitted blazer to make it work appropriate. You can also go for the total retro look and find a crinoline skirt online to wear under it for extra volume. Looks great with bright red lipstick too!
3. Lowe Maxi Dress by BB Dakota
Why We Love It: You can't go wrong with a maxi dress. This one runs a little long, but is worth getting altered if necessary. The watercolor print and colors make this dress irresistible. It's feminine and flows with your movements. Check out a video of Zoe in it here.
How to Wear it: Perfect for day or night. The best part about this dress is it goes with just about anything. Want to cover your arms? Pair it with a lightweight sweater in green, orange, pink, yellow, blue, grey or white.
4. Florence Dress by Comfy USA
Why We Love It: Navy will continue to be a hot color for summer and fall. Opt for Navy instead of black because color is a littler softer and flatters the majority of people. We love that this dress is made in the USA, it's so soft and has sleeves!
How to wear it: This is a very simple dress, but will allow you to wear it many different ways. Dress it up for a fancy occasion with heels or wedges and statement jewelry (a big chunky necklace in a bright color). Keep it simple and casual during the day & wear it just by itself. Pair it with a fun jacket, belt, scarf or shawl to change it up and incorporate a pop of color.
5. Printed Jersey Dress by Adrianna Papell.
Why we love it: This dress hangs on everyone so nicely. There is a lining that helps the dress not cling and the gathered elastic waistband sits at a great spot on the waist. The neckline is a little higher, so you don't have to worry about "the girls" being too exposed.
How to wear it: This is another one that you can dress up or dress down. Wear it with flats and a jean jacket for a casual look or add navy, ivory, silver or nude heels and a shawl for a dressier look. This would be a great dress for the office if paired with a navy cardigan or blazer.
